| A Bowl of Mystery
On top of each dining table in a restaurant in Wuxi, lies a small bowl containing these preserved vege. Not your usual free appetizer but nevertheless truly fascinating as eating it is a great pastime while waiting for your orders to come. I'm mystified by this native delicacy. Why? It's because out of the preserved appetizers that I have seen and eaten, I have never encountered any that is so attractive and colorful as these. Makes me wonder, where did these come from? I heard a really gross story about how they preserve food like these. Don't know if it's true though. I've tried google-ing for the answer but found nothing. Maybe someone out there can enlighten me... Chinese cuisine & architecture is truly fascinating... I'm proud to be a Chinese. (Although I can't cook lah. hehe) | | |
| Saven Year Itch Reese Withersppon split from husband Ryan Phillippe after more than 7 years of marriage, apparently because he allegedly cheated on her. A spokesman for the Oscar-winning actress announced the couple's mutually agreed separation on Monday (10.30.06), but it has now been claims that Ryan's affair with 24-year-old Australian actress Abbie Cornish is the reason for the split.
The news came as a shock for me, cos they seemed like the perfect pair and none, but those really close to them, knew just how far from truth that was.
I don't condone love triangles (it's not like I've never been in one before) but I do believe that these (love, lust, love&lust) relationships has its very own (selfish) reason(s) -- and it's a painful experience for most -- but if you look deeper into the root of the problem, there's a scary and saddening, almost pathetic reason behind it. Yes, guiltily, speaking from experience.
Well, I've grown to accept that shit like this happens oh-so-commonly nowadays (and it was just yesterday that I lent my ears and shoulder to someone in need), but if I had superpower to make one thing go away from this world, it would be love triangles.

| S-K-Y I took the photos just outside my room window when I woke up on Saturday morning. A beautiful sky is something that we could all easily appreciate. Especially after weeeeeks of hazy weather. For me, its something that has infinite possibilities. | | |
